Dear New Haven residents, a question.

with 5 Comments

If you had lost this many regions in less than 4 weeks, what would you do?

Regions in red have been closed

Would you…

A: Try your hardest to make sure your current residents are well looked after to stop losing more residents?

B: Ignore your residents & commit fraud by not returning rent?

C: Spend time which could have been used fixing your remaining regions on building a site attacking another landowner?

D: Spend time making a pick to attack women, time which could have been used instead on your residents?

Well, it’s an easy enough question. Sane people would choose “A”. Of course you would! You are taking other peoples money in order for them to live in a well presented, well respected community. What would you say if i told you that the fraudulent landowner of New Haven, Brian Lake, instead decided to choose B, C & D?

Here is a man (term “man” used loosley) who is taking in tens of thousands of your rental lindens every month. Instead of making sure that he was supporting his landscapers, instead of making sure RP was kickstarted again, instead of making sure that he wasnt commiting fraud…he makes a website to attack Cara and Portofino.

The link to “Virtual Secrets 2.0” is a site dedicated to Cara and Portofino, no doubt stacked full of his gyazo shotted arguements with Cara, which lets be honest is yesterdays news. Not only did he spend precious time on this site, instead of looking after you, the New Haven resident, he also spent time making a new pic, even with links!

Interesting that he included my name (Liza) in this. The previous articles were written by Fen or Lia, i simply stood in the background.

This is the problem with the beta male known as Brian Lake. He is, and has been for some time now, stuck in the past. It has been more than two months since the original return of everything Cara owned. Is the landscaping finished? No. Is the terraforming finished? No. Has Brian Lake upheld his promise to return residents cash who wanted to leave? Well, he’s a fraud, so of course the answer to that is no. Instead of doing everything any other sane landowner would do to keep you, the renter happy, he does the opposite.

He wastes time and effort on a site that you need to log into after you ask him for the log in details (which means he gets your IP address thats tied to YOUR name, that’s illegal in the EU and UK). He spends time and effort dragging up old news between him and Cara which happened more than two months ago. He spends time and effort in pick linking to us three. All the while, you, the resident of New Haven, are left living in a shithole of a community which the landlord (Beta Male Brian) is ignoring.

So, New Haven resident. Do you feel happy that your landlord is taking tens of thousands in Linden dollars for rent every month…and instead of looking after you and your community, spends his time attacking women? Ahhhh, so you noticed that pattern as well? Brian Lake does seem to like attacking women, a LOT, which says a lot about him and his frame of mind.

Once again, if you are renting in New Haven i would advise you to leave. Many (if not all) of the major roleplayers of New Haven have already left. There are places like Woodland Grove and Magnolia City (opening on June 1st) that you can move into, which to be honest, has a much better caliber of landlord than New Haven has.

Beta Male Brian Lake. The fraud of Second Life. We might be “dumb as a box of rocks”, but unlike Beta Male Brian, we havent comitted fraud by STEALING tens of thousands of lindens in rent from people who have left a community.

The downfall of New Haven Second Life, and an apology

with 2 Comments

I want to start this article with a complete and sincere apology to Cara. Part of running a blog is acknowledging when you are wrong, and we were wrong.

Earlier today, one of Linden Lab staff entered New Haven and started mass returning everything that belonged to Cara, the original landscaper of New Haven. Over 80% (at a rough estimate) of New Havens landscaping was owned by Cara. The 27 regions that make up the town have been left decimated. What happened in the following 3 to 4 hours was a slow leak of what was really going on in the background.

The above screenshot was sent out to the group showing that as far back as the beginning of April, hints were given that Cara was going to go down this road. By this point in time it had already been a number of days since “The Hurricane”.

Brian’s claim of being able to do an estate return is a complete and utter lie. It took weeks to replace the roads, at the same time the house was being replaced concurrently at the same time and a month after the original event everything stalled. People started to concentrate on single items while ignoring the chunks of the roads, most of the infrastructure of Canton and Stonybrook and around 90% of the landscaping was still under Cara’s name.

The remains of Stonybrook

All the while, Brian was asking for donations to replace Cara’s items. My question is…why were 70% of the viewable items in New Haven still under Cara’s name after getting upwards of 90,000L$ in donations? Why did the replacing of landscaping, which for several people in New Haven at the time could have done in 2 to 3 days, take more than a month to replace items belonging to Cara? Why did Brian refuse or ignore help from actual landscapers in the town? Brian had warnings as far back as the beginning of April that this might happen.

Then, last week, it appears that Cara gave Traci (the NH Manager) a warning that she had now filed a support ticket, waiting more than a month to essentially give New Haven a chance to replace all her items. At this point in time you would think that an estate owner would have pulled out all the stops, you would think. Instead, Brian buried his head in the sand, kept taking more lindens from the renters, and waited for it to happen with no warning or notice given to the paying renters who keep New Haven afloat.

Well, it happened today, and what did Brian do? He blamed Cara…again.

New Haven Second Life
What’s left of Lakeland

Anyone reading this who is still renting in New Haven, I have 4 words for you.

GET THE HELL OUT.

Seriously, get out of there. New Haven is now apparently downsizing regions because they are bleeding out residents over the past week to two weeks, and all the while, all Brian can do is blame Cara, when the same Cara WARNED Brian that this was going to happen.

Brian…done…nothing.

The apology from us is towards Cara. The original hurricane article pinned the blame on Cara or Cara’s alts/partners because we found out that Cara’s partner, Robert, was responsible for some of the damage, and Robert admitted it. However, the actions of Brian, or to be more specific, the INACTION of Brian over the past 5 to 6 weeks, have led to this. The mass returns of today are no one’s fault but Brian Lake, and Brian Lake can no longer blame Cara because the full truth is now out there.
