The Ultimate Way To Level Up

Well, you have made it to the last part of the compendium! If you have read this far, then you have enough know-how to go through this, the most technical part of this 6 part instruction manual on the SML system. You know about the equipment. You know about the daily boards, the daily board rounds, the MTP, the Calculator HUD, the spotting system and the consumables. What happens when you put it all together?

Well, you get (one of) The Ultimate Ways To Level Up!

Before we get into this, some things to cover. This is by no means the ONLY “best way” to work out, but it is one of the easiest ones to achieve, especially for people who are just starting their journey into SML. When you get your strength up into the thousands (and yes, there are a lot of folks who are), you’ll find other ways to get the most benefit out of the time you spend in SML. This particular one I’m going to go through with you, though, is achievable whether you are strength 1 or strength 10.000. So, let’s start with the prep work.

1: Do a Daily Board Farming Round

Just as you read in Part 4 of the compendium, do a full Daily Board Round. Remember, the boards all reset at 5 pm SLT, so you need to do the MTP AFK HUD round at least 6 to 7 hours BEFORE the 5pm reset of the boards in order for you to get back through those same boards to farm them. When you are going through the farming phase, do NOT sell items that look like this…

That is a Recover Fatigue token. It gives you 10 mins of fatigue back into your fatigue bar if you run out. You are going to need at least 9 of these, which means yes…youll need to grab the Sportsbag for the extra slots. Luckily enough, the Sportsbag only costs 300 gold, which means you have more than enough gold to afford it. When you get the Fatigue tokens, left-click on them and move them into your Sportsbad until there’s no more room left, then fill up the main consumable slots bar until you have 9 tokens in total, sell everything else as normal. What you will end up with is a lot of Fatigue +10 tokens in your consumables bar and sportsbag, and a lot of gold.

2: Run The Clock Down

Now, you need to simply work out. Do your Daily Workout, then just do normal workouts until you run the Fatigue clock down to between 30:01 to 30:59. In other words, run the Fatigue clock down so you have 30 mins left on it, it can’t be 31 mins, or 29 mins, it HAS to be 30 mins left on that fatigue clock for the next step to work.

3: Pick Up The Exp Token At Flexington Heights

Now, we pick up the consumables that we need, all those Fatigue tokens for. Head to Flexington Heights go through the main entrance, turn right, head through the double doors, and you will see this on the wall next to the daily boards.

That is the 100% Exp booster, which boosts the Exp (green bar levels) and increases your strength gain as well. It is one of the best ways to increase your green bar level if you want to open your own gym, and to also gain strength a little bit quicker. Left-click on the sign. You should get the booster token, but you’ll also notice that you have lost ALL remaining fatigue. This is where the Fatigue tokens come in. Click on three fatigue tokens; this will bring you back up to 30 minutes. When you have done that, click on the Exp Boost sign again, and you’ll have two 100% boosters. Repeat once more for three of them. You are only allowed three exp boosters a day.

Now and again, during the daily workout, you may also get one of these 100% Exp boosters…obviously, don’t sell it, keep it in the sportsbag bank and use it later!

So, you have enough fatigue tokens left for a 30-minute workout. Each Exp booster lasts 10 minutes…yeah, it works out that well!

4: Time to Stack Everything!

You have your expo booster, you have enough time left for a 30-minute workout with the three 10-minute exp boosters. For this to really work well, you need a spotter. Pop on the Calculator HUD and head to Maelstrom Gym. Once there, head into the gym floor and grab a Strength consumable. If you are 58 Strength or below, grab the +8 Strength consumable; it will add 8 points to your strength. If you are above 58 base strength, grab the +14% bottle; it will add 14% of your base strength. 58 is the cutoff for the switch between the two of them. Once you have whichever one you want in your consumables bar…click on it, and use it. A small copy of that bottle will appear on the top right of your HUD to let you know it’s active.

With your strength now added to, it’s time to activate one of the 100% Exp Tokens, click on that, and use it. You’ll see a mini version of that appear on the top right as well. Lastly, you also need to grab several 80% Stamina bottles, and stack as many as you can in the consumables bar. DO NOT ACTIVATE A STAMINA BOTTLE. Leave it sitting in your consumables bar.

With the Exp token and Strength token activated, use the calculator HUD with your new Strength level to find a spotter workout that’s best for you, move the spotter over as described in the previous section, wait for the spotter to sit, and then start your workout! You will notice straight away that the combined extra strength from the bottle, plus the extra help from the spotter, coupled with the extra Exp from the token…yeah, your green bar (level) and your red bar (strength) will be going up a lot faster! As for the Stamina bottles you purchased, click and use one of them when you see your stamina drop into the LOWER RED. This is one of the few times you want the stamina circle to drop down into the red, as the stamina consumable restores a full 80% of your stamina. Here’s a comparison video; the first 10 minutes are a normal spotter-helped workout sped up 1000%. In the last 10 minutes, I switched over to what I have described in this section, you can see the levelling difference immediately!

As you can see, especially in the strength levelling, it makes a HUGE difference! When climbing to Level 15 Exp (Green Bar Exp), this way of working out will make you hit level 15 a lot faster, and of course, when you get to level 15, you can then buy your own beginner gym equipment and, if you want to, open your own small gym!
