Peak Lounge which is a club all three of us have been going to for a very long time has hit some problems recently due to its original owner who reportedly sold the club for 700,000L$. A couple of days ago, the SL VIP Group was handed back to Chad Lemton by Linden Lab, who then spent the next 4 hours spamming the group with accusations against the new owners…
Now remember, these are the same owners that if rumours are correct, Chad took 700,000L$ from to take ownership of the group and the club. These same owners have not hidden the fact that they are also the owners of Sun Valley Gaming in SL (a Pseudo Game/Gambling region…all legal in SL) however this week Chad decided to go running to SL to take back control of the group, he then retook control of the FB Group and the Flickr group for the original Peak Lounge and…you guessed it…redirected everyone to his own copy (and a bad copy at that) of Peak which he is now calling the “original”. The fact is, the original Peak is still running, under new owners whom Chad sold the club to.
Myself (Lia), Fenny and Lizzy will continue going to the REAL Peak Lounge like we have always done. As for the allegations by Chad Lemton of the new Peak owners trying to “force” people into playing casino games, and shoving adverts for their casino down everyone’s throats, well, from a first-hand experience I can tell you categorically that this is not the case. Myself (Lia), Fenella and Lizzy have only seen Sun Valley pop up in the sponsor notice for Peak along with the other 10+ sponsors of Peak Lounge.

Chad kept going on in group notice rants about “Family”. Not too long ago he considered all the staff at the REAL Peak Lounge his “Family”. However, he is now willing to throw them, the regulars, and the DJs under a bus just to make his new fake copy of Peak more popular. Sorry, there’s one word for that. Scamming.
EDIT: We have been contacted by AzGarot. The allegations of Az paying Chad for the regions are now factually correct. We were sent a screenshot of, and I quote “that amount is just one of the payments, PEAK was bought in phases, so the total amount is much bigger. You can also use this screenshot if you need to publish the proof”

As a current member of the Peak Lounge staff, I have seen the same thing. Chad has been saying all week that the current owners of Peak are trying to force people into playing “cashino” games. As someone on the staff who can see the behind-the-scenes chat, this is simply not the truth. Chad Lemton used to call everyone at the original Peak his family. It’s scary how fast he has turned his back on his so-called “Family” to stab them all in the back for his new club.
I also noticed that the FB group he stole from the current owners of Peak Lounge has the comments turned off now. This was because people started posting links to this article on the group. I guess Chad doesn’t like the facts about him being spread. Chad Lemton is a liar, a scammer, and a thief.

Chad Lemton is one of the biggest scammers and liars in Second Life’s long history. The number of people he scammed in the past years is too significant to count. It is a shame that he hasn’t been banned from the platform and that those poor people suffer the consequences. Many creators, big and small, DJs, and just random people were victims of his scams. I hope that Liden Lab does the right thing and removes him from the platform altogether. I’m hoping for the best possible outcome! Fingers crossed and positive thoughts.
