There have been a few new clubs opening up over the past month by some rather well known DJ’s in the jazz genre and pop genres. Some of them are due to club closures, the closure of Franks/Prive alone caused three clubs to open, and some of it is due to DJ’s leaving clubs they are no longer happy at, either due to bad club owners or they simply are no longer enjoying working there.

We’re gonna be looking at a couple of new clubs, starting off this week with reMIXX…

reMIXX is a multi-genre club very recently set up by “Special K” (K Delicioso) and Reign Delicioso, two well known DJ’s of multi genre music clubs, and was opened to counter the stricter and stricter rules being laid down by “Moderate” clubs who pretend to be Disney land “PG” where music, clothing, what you say, and what you do, including what you say OUTSIDE the club is increasingly controlled and acted on. It is no secret that the 80’s rock to modern pop club goers have seen the stricter and stricter rules in not just one club, but several start to chock the fun out of it.

reMIXX is on an A rated region but with standard “Moderate” based rules, in other words, keep ya bits covered…that kinda thing.

The club is open from 12 noon till 8pm (SLT) which is decent coverage since they have literally only opened a few days ago at the time of writing this. The club internally is the usual spotON dance system in the middle with normal dance spaces (and pads) dotted around the skirt of the spotON dance system. Lots of seating around the edge also means you ain’t forced to stand around looking like a lemon if you don’t want to dance.

There is also a very well “stocked” games room with the usual round of well known SL games housed in a building just across from the entrance of the main club itself.

The wooded area joined to the far wall is also a quiet place to hang out either with a partner or simply chilling out by yourself.

All three of us were at the opening part for reMIXX and we recognized a lot of names from other clubs we currently hang out at, or used to hang out at which is one of the reasons that reMIXX generally has a good number of people hanging out at peak times, its because the DJ’s working there are all very well known names in the multi genre area of DJ’ing within SL.

If you are tired of going to club where you are treated like a child in Disneyland, and want to go to a club that adults go to, and where the staff are not looking up women’s skirts to see if they are wearing underwear (which now happens in Muddy’s) then reMIXX who is staffed by hosts and DJ’s who have literally years of experience in hosting and DJ’ing in mixed genre clubs might be one to add to your list. I know that all three of us have added reMIXX to the places we regularly visit!
