Second Life: Why Magnolia City Leaders Are Hypocritical Cowards

I had planned to remain silent about this controversy. Vic Mornington’s comprehensive video coverage of the Magnolia City situation seemed sufficient to tell the story. However, there’s something that’s been eating at me—something that didn’t get nearly enough attention. The same people who are now screaming bloody murder about “hate crimes” in Magnolia City? They’re the exact same bunch who sat on their hands like spineless hypocrites when real shit was going down.

The Backstory: Understanding the Fall of Magnolia

Before diving deeper into this analysis, I strongly recommend watching Vic’s detailed video examination of what he aptly calls “The Fall of Magnolia City” to the influence of what I term “LGBTQ Social Terrorists.” His coverage provides essential context for understanding how we arrived at this point, documenting the systematic takeover and the subsequent chaos that followed.

The video reveals the calculated nature of this power grab, showing how certain individuals manipulated legitimate concerns about LGBTQ rights to serve their own agenda. It’s a masterclass in political manoeuvring within virtual communities, and it sets the stage for understanding the deeper hypocrisy I’m about to expose.

The Portofino Precedent: Where Were These Champions Then?

What I want to focus on is something many in our community will remember—the Portofino incident that we first reported on this blog. This involved Cara’s now ex-partner Robert systematically targeting and harassing LGBTQ community members who were residing there. To Cara’s credit, she ultimately made the difficult decision to end her partnership with Robert and remove him from the equation. According to our LGBTQ friends who live in that area, Portofino has since returned to normal, creating a welcoming environment once again.

However, when our original article about the Portofino harassment was published, exposing the systematic targeting of over ten LGBTQ individuals, the response from Magnolia’s current power brokers was deafening in its silence. These same people who now position themselves as fierce defenders of LGBTQ rights couldn’t be bothered to speak up when real harassment was occurring.

The Roll Call of Cowardice

Let me be specific about who I’m talking about, because this isn’t about vague allegations—this is about documented inaction from specific individuals who now claim moral authority:

Electraa remained completely silent during the Portofino crisis. Not one word of support for the victims, not one statement condemning the harassment. She watched from the sidelines as LGBTQ community members were systematically targeted and did absolutely nothing.

Morrigan showed the same cowardly silence. Despite positioning herself as an LGBTQ advocate now, she was nowhere to be found when actual advocacy was needed. Her absence during the Portofino crisis speaks volumes about her true priorities.

Mark, who has become one of the most vocal accusers in the current Magnolia situation, was completely MIA during the real crisis. His sudden discovery of moral outrage is convenient timing, to say the least.

Niko maintained the same pattern of silence and inaction. When LGBTQ individuals needed allies to speak up against documented harassment, Niko was notably absent from the conversation.

Roxy and Cody, despite their current involvement in Magnolia’s drama, said nothing and did nothing when it would have actually made a difference for harassment victims.

Dacio rounds out this list of convenient activists, having shown the same pattern of silence during actual persecution.

The list could continue, but the pattern is clear: every single person now throwing accusations around Magnolia City was completely silent when over ten LGBTQ individuals were being systematically harassed and bullied in Portofino.

The Ultimate Hypocrisy: Participating While Others Suffered

The hypocrisy reaches its peak when we examine what Mark and Morrigan were actually doing during the Portofino crisis. These two individuals, who now position themselves as fierce LGBTQ advocates and accusers of others, were actively renting space under alts and participating in events at Portofino while the harassment campaign was ongoing.

Think about that for a moment: they were literally funding and legitimizing the very venue where LGBTQ individuals were being systematically targeted. Their rental payments and event participation provided direct financial support to the operation that was harming their supposed community.

This wasn’t ignorance—the harassment was documented and public. They made a conscious choice to continue their involvement while LGBTQ individuals were suffering. Yet now they have the audacity to accuse others of supporting hate crimes that never actually occurred.

The Real Motivation: Power, Not Principles

Why did all these individuals suddenly discover their voices when it came to Magnolia City? The answer becomes clear when you examine what they gained from their actions. This wasn’t about protecting LGBTQ rights—it was about a calculated power grab.

By remaining silent during the Portofino crisis, they avoided any real confrontation with a sim owner who had actual power. It would have required courage to stand up to Robert and his systematic harassment campaign. It would have meant taking a real risk, facing potential consequences, and engaging in an actual fight for justice.

But the Magnolia situation presented a different opportunity entirely. Here was a chance to make accusations against people without real power bases, to position themselves as moral authorities, and to seize control of a community through manufactured outrage.

The coward’s cloak they wore during Portofino was quickly discarded when they saw an opportunity for advancement. Suddenly, these silent bystanders became vocal accusers, throwing false accusations at Jenna and others who had actually shown the courage to stand up when it mattered.

The Backstabbing Betrayal

Among all these individuals, Electraa Cotez deserves special mention for her particularly egregious betrayal. She didn’t just stay silent during the Portofino crisis and then become vocal during Magnolia—she actively threw her own Second Life sister under the bus to gain favor with the new power structure.

This level of betrayal goes beyond mere cowardice or hypocrisy. It represents a fundamental abandonment of loyalty and solidarity in pursuit of personal advancement. The willingness to sacrifice someone who trusted her reveals the depths of character we’re dealing with here.

The Dangerous Parallel: History Repeating

The current situation in Magnolia City has created an environment that mirrors the toxic atmosphere of Portofino during late 2024. The same tactics of accusation, intimidation, and social terrorism that Robert employed are now being used by Mark, Morrigan, Niko, and their allies.

LGBTQ individuals are once again being accused of supporting “hate crimes” by people who demonstrate through their actions that they care more about power than protection. The sadistic little trolls who now control Magnolia are employing the exact same social terrorism tactics that they witnessed and ignored in Portofino.

The irony is overwhelming: the very people who knew about Robert’s harassment campaign and chose to do nothing are now using identical tactics to maintain their newfound power. They learned from watching a master manipulator operate, and now they’re applying those lessons for their own benefit.

The Current Reality: Where Safety Actually Exists

Here’s the truth that these hypocritical cowards don’t want acknowledged: Portofino has become significantly more LGBTQ-friendly since Robert’s removal. Cara’s decision to end that toxic partnership has resulted in a genuine transformation of the community’s atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Magnolia City has devolved into the same kind of hostile environment that Portofino once was. The difference is that the harassment now comes wrapped in the flag of LGBTQ advocacy, making it more insidious and harder to combat.

If you’re looking for a Second Life community where you can feel genuinely safe, where you won’t have to walk on eggshells or worry about false accusations, I recommend considering Portofino or Woodland Grove. These communities have demonstrated actual growth and change, unlike Magnolia’s descent into manufactured drama and power-hungry manipulation.

The Fundamental Question: What Do You Really Stand For?

This entire situation raises fundamental questions about the nature of advocacy and allyship in virtual communities. Are we supposed to take seriously the moral authority of people who remained silent during actual persecution? Should we trust the judgment of individuals who actively supported harassment operations through their participation and funding?

The answer is clear to anyone willing to look honestly at the pattern of behavior. These individuals have revealed themselves through their actions—or more accurately, through their calculated inactions when courage was required.

Conclusion: Calling Out the Truth

I write this as a member of the LGBTQ community who actually cares about the wellbeing of our people—unlike Mark, Morrigan, and their cohort of convenient activists. Real advocacy requires consistency, courage, and the willingness to act when it matters, not just when it’s advantageous.

The current leadership of Magnolia City represents everything wrong with performative activism. They wear the language of social justice while employing the tactics of social terrorism. They claim to fight hate while creating environments of fear and suspicion.

Every single one of these individuals—Electraa, Morrigan, Mark, Niko, Roxy, Cody, Dacio, and the rest—are hypocritical cowards who stepped over the demoralized LGBTQ people of Portofino to grab power in Magnolia. They set fire to their supposed morals to achieve their goals, and now they have the audacity to lecture others about hate crimes.

The LGBTQ community deserves better than these backstabbing, power-hungry manipulators. We deserve advocates who show up when it’s difficult, not just when it’s convenient. We deserve leaders who build safe spaces, not people who create hostile environments while claiming to fight hate.

At the time of posting this, the DMV Director (Lia), the Marketing Director (Vic), the Fire Chief (AJ) and the Chief Justice (Braelin) have all decided to leave Magnolia. A lot of the same cowards mentioned above, have branded everyone who left as supporting “Hate Crimes”, yes, that includes me, they are resorting to calling another member of the LGBTQ community (me) a supporter of “Hate Crime”.

The truth is now on record. Judge for yourselves who actually stands with the LGBTQ community when it matters.

I have sat back and watched it all go on in Magnolia. I am one of the people who left Portofino when that original article came out about Robert targeting LGBTQ people. Now it’s beginning all over again in Magnolia. About 4 weeks ago myself and my partner decided to rent one of the smaller homes in Portofino after we heard that things have become friendlier now that Robert has gone. After seeing people make snide comments about, and to other people in the LGBTQ community (like myself) who decided to support the former city admin, myself and my partner have decided to leave magnolia when our rent runs out. I have sent a group notice to the LGBTQ Facebook SL RP group I am one of the moderators of, there are over 3000 people in it, sending this blog, and vic morningtons video as absolute proof that magnolia is no longer safe.

    Hello.

I am one of the people who volunteer for the slpridedirectory.com what I have read here and what I have seen on Vic Morningtons video (by the way he sounds hot, just saying), is very worrying. From the people I have talked to, we know that Magnolia does have a high number of LGBTQ people either living there or as part of the team. Now, we realise that when it comes to this particular blog (The Three Girls), it has got a bit of a reputation of verging on what SL Secrets became; however, the actual journalism behind what’s being typed does shine through some of the hidden truths. Yes, Portfino had problems last year, this blog made it public. Yes, Portofino has now sorted those problems out, due to this blog making it public.

The Magnolia issue, though, is worrying. I know the “Mark” that you speak of. He is well known to folks in the LGBTQ scene as one of the quieter members of the LGBTQ community. So, to corroborate what Vic has stated, and what this blog has stated, I checked to see if anyone from the group lived in Magnolia, or has access to the Magnolia discord.

What I heard back confirms a lot of what was said in the blog. Yes, the Pride flag on the cop car incident could have been avoided. However, my sources from within Magnolia said that Jenna immediately voided the entire RP and made a long apology post. She knew a mistake was made and was willing to take admission of the error. It seems, though, that for Mark and several others, this was not enough, and she was, as has been stated by Vic and The Three Girls “sacrificed on the altar of LGBTQ Social Terrorism”. What Fenella has said at the end of this article is true. None of these people, to my knowledge stood up for the people being targeted in Portofino last year. Which makes me firmly believe that what Vic and Fenella have stated, that its a power play, or a way to get rid of the former administrator, is actually true.

As far as I am concerned, the SL Pride Movement should have nothing to do with Magnolia City. Certain individuals have weaponised “Hate Crimes” to enforce a power play, and this is the very reason why Pride Month is not being picked up by a lot of big companies outside, and inside of Second Life. Pride Month should be a celebration. People of the LGBTQIA+ Community should celebrate their community. Instead, people in Magnolia have taken to branding people with catchphrases in order to silence them, even turning on other LGBTQIA+ members.

I will be having a quiet word with people from various LGBTQIA+ communities in the pride directory about this, but as far as I am concerned, Magnolia City should be held at arms length.

I knew in January MC was going to fail. MC was full of people who had been in Woodcrest or Cedar Creek or New Haven. They are not role players. They are power players and 3d sex seekers. They try to get anyone who gets in their way banned. They try to take control of the community or wreck it. They will now just all move into Portofino and sink it. Same old, same old!

this blog is a bit of an eye opener for me roxy has been shoving her nose into the affairs of all the departments who are left running her and dacio but mostly her have been trying to get as much info as they can about the future plans that lia had for the dmv it turns out they have no clue at all about how to run that department so they are just wanting to copy everything lia was going to do. it feels like I am the only normal staff member left active and everyone else is looking at me wanting to say something bad about jenna and everyone who has left. i will be handing my resignation in when my rent runs out. i have already chatted to a few of the folks I know in magnolia they are all saying they are looking for new places to go to as well especially after reading this blog which is now being sent out secretly by myself and a few other to renters in the city

A grab for power, and Roxy’s name shows up on the list. Why am I not surprised?
