What is the Relay Retailpalooza?
You have heard of Equal10, Kustom9 and Uber…along with the other shopping events within Second Life?
Well, Relay Retailpalooza is the Relay for Life of Second Life’s version of that!

While myself (It’s Lia writing this), Fenny and Lizzy were walking around one of the big shopping events (The Angels shopping...theres a shock! 😀 ), Fen asked a question…”Why doesn’t anyone do something like this for Relay For Life?” That’s when the idea came about. Relay Retailpalooza will run very similarly to the normal shopping events that most of you go to, with one major difference…the booths are free for any RFL team in Second Life, if you are selling/raffling/gachaing items in an official RFL vendor…then this event is for you.
Running from May 8th to June 8th, the Relay Retailpalooza has 106 booths for relay teams to put their vendors, gachas or raffle kiosks in, with a little bit of spare LI to do some minor decorating.
Like the big major shopping event, we will be contacting Seraphim SL and Sugar SL for blogging coverage, along with contacting the Firestorm team to pop in a “Message of the day” on the Firestorm login screen when the event starts, so, hopefully, it will attract a LOT of shoppers from SL in general.
…before you all rush to fill in the sign up form, there are a few simple rules!
Booth Availability
There are 106 booths in total. We know that not ALL teams are selling items for RFL, but we are still limiting it to one booth per team.
Booth Usage
Teams are limited to only two RFL vendors/RFL raffle kiosks/RFL gacha kiosks. It can be a combination of any three, but it can’t go above two in total. So, for instance, you can put two vendors out, or one vendor and one gacha vendor, or one gacha vendor and one raffle vendor. We are limiting it to only two vendors due to the availability of prims on the half region the event is sitting on.
Please note that the booths are for RFL vendors ONLY, as this is a full Relay for Life event.
Exclusive Item
We are asking (but NOT requiring) teams who sign up to have a booth to have one of your vendors selling an item which is exclusive to the Relay Retailpalooza event. Again, it’s NOT a requirement, but the more exclusive items only being sold at this event, the more people it will attract, the more people it attract, the more people will buy things, the more people buy things, the more money will be raised for Relay for Life!
RFL Raffles
As a team, and if you get a booth, you can put raffle vendors up at your booth, however, this event lasts for one full calendar month, so if your raffle is set for anything less than 30 calendar days (which it probably will be) please make sure to either replace the raffle with another one, or simply put up a vendor selling an item in its place.
Prim Limits
Each booth is limited to 20 prims. That’s enough for 2 RFL vendors, with some spare prims left over to pop your sign up and add a few little decorations.
The Booth
Here’s a piccy of the booth…

The large square directly behind me is where your vendors go, the smaller square above it is for your team’s logo/name!
You can decorate your booth how you wish, but please keep it M-rated (no A-rated pics, images etc). This also means that items being sold in your booth also cannot show A-rated images, this is not an A-rated region.
Who’s Organising The Event?
The event is organised by The Charlie’s Angels (Liandra Aries, Fenella Baily & Liza Blackwood), who are part of the Roos With A Dream RFL team. Vic Mornington is also giving input on the running of the event.
Ok..how do I apply?!
You can apply by clicking on this link and filling out the google form. https://forms.gle/h1qzXqx7yr9gS5U97
Please note we are limited to 106 booths, with an optional expansion to add another 15 to 20 by replacing the info boards at the back, but there is a hard limit. It will essentially be a case of who applies first will get a booth!
Either Liandra Aries, Fenella Baily or Liza Blackwood will contact you within 24 to 48 hours of your application.
